We are petitioning to change the names of North Senate Avenue between 11th Street and West North Street to Medley Street and West St. Clair Street between North West Street and North Meridian Street to McCormick Street. This proposal is to honor Private Timothy McCormick, EMT-B and Specialist Cody Medley, EMT-P. These fallen heroes were killed as a result of a tragic ambulance collision in Indianapolis, IN on February 16, 2013. This online petition is an adjunct to the written document slated for submission to the City County Council.

I often drive down the street and find the name of the street has changed names to memorialize someone. It's always a question of mine, what is it this person did that was so great. The small space on a street sign make it impossible for ...

EMS is one HUGE family. These two individuals died doing what we all love. These two extraordinary individuals deserve the respect of having streets named after them. Honoring them with street names is, in my opinion, the highest of honors. Remembering them is a must.

We as Professional, Paramedics, E.M.T.'s, Firefighters, and Police are taken for granted everyday of the week. We are abused in every way known to the imagination. This is a way you, as The Indianapolis City County Council, to give back to the members of your E.M.S. Service. I personally do not get to Indianapolis that often, but I do have friends in the area.

      Thank you

      David L. Meade,

      Retired, Paramedic/ Fighter/ Law Enforcement

I have spent a lot of time in then wonderful city of Indianapolis. It has become my second home. As a firefighter recruit in VA, it would mean so much to honor a fellow first responder.
