The Supreme Court has held that it is unconstitutional to execute the mentally retarded, and Marvin Lee Wilson appears to fall into that category. But Mr. Wilson, who is on Texas' death row, may be executed anyway. Mr. Wilson's execution should be blocked. Beyond that, his case should cause Congress to stop its reckless campaign to make it even easier than it is now to carry out executions.

Deep in the black heart of Texas. Piling disgrace upon disgrace, horror upon horror. Please email the clemency section of the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles:

What kind of society do we live in if children and people whose minds are like children's face execution? And the only evidence that Marvin Lee Wilson was the shooter was provided by the wife of his accomplice, Terry Lewis. It behooves the Supreme Court and Governor Rick Perry to intervene on Marvin Wilson's behalf. Mental retardation should not be defined outside the scientific community and Marvin Lee Wilson should be spared.

Because the supreme court ruled it is unconstitutional to execute a person with mental retardation.

There must be a better way to deal with this. Besides, maybe Rick Perry should sympathize, having the same level of IQ?
