The Governor of AK: Reconsider and reverse a decision to not reestablish the Denali Buffer

    1. Petition by

      National Wolfwatcher Coalition, 501(c)(3)

We are EAGER to support the Alaskan economy with our tourism dollars. However, the reputation of the State of Alaska in terms of its commitment to sustainable wildlife management and to its reputation as a wildlife tourism destination was damaged when the Alaska Board of Game rejected a petition from a coalition of wildlife organizations urging it to enact a wolf buffer (no-trapping) zone on a small parcel of land along the eastern boundary of Denali National Park. Significant economic advantages to Alaska’s tourism economy can be derived from the proposed buffer zone. We urge the State to reconsider and reverse this decision.

Please take this very small step to protect wolves from slaughter that will be the worse for your state and all of us. Wolves don't understand the artificial boundaries that exist and desperately need this little extra room to roam. We implore you from the bottom of our hearts not to deny these innocent wolves this small protection.

This puts all citizens at risk and neither DNR nor trapper takes any responsibility for a dog, child or person's injuries should they fall into these hidden unlimited traps. THEY SHOULD BE SUED. STOP THE KILLINGS ALL TOGETHER. You OWN LAND, PUT UP NO HUNTING SIGNS. Will shot on sight.

I recently took my vacation in the great state of Alaska. While there I toured Denali National Park. Don't we, as humans, have an obligation to protect the flora and fauna of our country? Can't we allow these wolves, who in parts of our country have been hunted to near extinction, have their place to live safely? Are we that corrupt as a species to think we can exist without any of these beautiful animals? WAKE UP before it's TOO LATE.

I feel all wild life are imporntant and if we are to continue on we need to stop calling the shots as we are nature will take care of nature... it finds its on way mankind needs to STOP interfereing so much or we will no longer have an earth to call home at all! eventually we will allow a species to disappear perhaps even by accident and it will be catastrophic!
