This is against human rights. Parents should have the right to make decisions about their children's lives and nobody else. It's despicable to even consider this.

As a health care professional and a parent I am disgusted by this. DNAR is only put in place when patients are put on something such as an end of life pathway and even then both patient / parent should give consent once informative non biase facts have been considered.

My brother had severe SEN and when we had to make decisions i am glad it was up to us - with good advice and experience. I have worked with kids with SEN ever since and those kids are fab and should be given every chance and when the tough time finally comes it needs to be decided together

The Government do not have the right to decide to let children with SEN die. It should be the parents who make that decision with medical information so that they can make an informed choice. What is right or wrong for their child.
