Rethink their stance on taking down the CACC Transfer Teams Page

CACC Transfer Teams page was created for animal rescues who transfer dogs, cats, chicken, rabbits etc from CACC due to their exposure on Facebook! Without a CACC Facebook page all of these would not be alive today. The City of Chicago wants to shut the page down due to people posting nonfactual information on the page, instead of trying to publicly rectify the information posted they give CACC Transfer Team a few weeks to take the page down. So now Rescues wont find fosters or adopters and rescues will not be able to pull dogs. Without this page in existence many dogs will die without the exposure, Contact information for the Mayor :

Once again I will re post what was posted earlier to ease everyone's minds. Posted Monday June 4th: After a preliminary meeting today,June 4, 2012, and an official meeting set up for Wednesday, June 6, 2012, it looks as though CACC Transfer Team will be able to work with the city and shelter administrators to keep the CACC Transfer Team page active. The CACC Transfer Team leader and two other team members will meet with the shelter director and deputy director on Wednesday to find ways to improve the page and highlight the inspiring stories of rescue. Thank you for all of your support! We will be taking the petition down as we feel we made our voices heard.

    5. it's been shared the Mayor is not involved, but they dont know who is...

The Mayor is responsible for his employees and their decisions, whether good and most definitely bad. CACC is not a private program therefore the Mayor runs the show. So since he is the boss, you complain to the boss.

I believe all animals have a chance to find a second loving home and with willing volunteers to help why wouldn't I want to help this cause!

We save one at a time. It's been an immeasurable resource on Facebook and hopefully not to be destroyed, needless, I feel.

We fostered a boxer girl with the MN

Boxer rescue and she was brought to us because of someone who saw her on the facebook page. She had some minor behavior issues that was addressed with some good training, patience and love. I think without the page she possibly wouldnt have been given a 2nd chance due to those issues. She is now in a loving home and the family couldn't be happier!
