The Alabama state legislature: Pass Bills to repeal the adoption of Common Core

    1. Petition by

Alabamians United for Excellence in Education

It is imperative that the Alabama State Legislature guarantee student privacy and local control of education by rescinding the unproven, experimental program known as Common Core State Standards Initiative (aka College and Career Ready Standards). The Common Core States Standards Initiative is a federal mandate which takes away state sovereignty and autonomy and gives control of Alabama Education to the US Department of Education. Its adoption must be repealed.

To:
The Alabama state legislature
Pass legislation to repeal the adoption of Common Core

Sincerely,
[Your name]

Many reasons!!! I do not want government involved in the education of ky children. Common Core is not up to the educational standards I want for my children.
