Thank Maryland's Teachers, Firefighters, and All Public Servants

      Moving Maryland Forward

Public servants -- teachers, police, firefighters, transportation workers, nurses, snow plow drivers, correctional and parole officers, and so many more -- touch our lives in Maryland each day. These workers keep us safe. They educate our children. They get us safely where we need to go. They take care of us. It’s time that we take care of them.

Public servants provide us with absolute necessities that keep our state running, yet are often the first faced with budget cuts during difficult times.

Many Maryland organizations, as a part of the Save Our State (SOS) coalition, are advocating for a more balanced approach to the Maryland budget, with goals to reduce reliance on spending cuts and preserve our investments in education, health, public safety, transportation, and other essential services.

Pledge your support and say thank you to the public servants who keep Maryland running.

Many of these workers are also proud union members Unions in Maryland, like AFL-CIO, AFSCME, and SEIU, work to have their members’ voices heard in the workplace and beyond. They work diligently to have and maintain collective bargaining rights. Just last week, public employees rallied in Annapolis to expand collective bargaining rights to workers who do not have them.

Encourage others to sign this pledge, so that we may continue to thank all of the hard-working public servants in the state of Maryland, and the Unions that represent them.
