Investigate the case involving the stabbing of Rachel Poole

      Houston, TX

Her attacker broke into her house and waited for her to come home. He then proceeded to beat her and stab her, while she was nine months pregnant. He was initially charged with attempted murder, but as of Jan. 22nd, it was dropped to a burglary charge. This is not justice for someone who broke into her home and waited on her. That's premeditated. Please see that justice is served and that he is charged with attempted murder instead of burglary.

To:
Texas Governor
Texas State Senate
Texas State House
Investigate the case involving the stabbing of Rachel Poole, and see that the lesser charge is reversed from a charge of burglary back to the initial charge of attempted murder.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

there is no way somebody who attempted to stab a pregnant woman to death shouldn't be charged with murder

Why wouldn't it be? The victim in this case was STABBED, forced to fight for not only her life, but the life of her unborn child. I would like someone to stand up in a room full of intelligent, well minded people and tell them that severe beating and multiple stab wounds is the result of nothing but a mere burglary. If this woman and/or her unborn child had in fact died from the wounds this man had inflicted, and it very well easily could have ended that way, would he still be tried for burglary?
