Tell the FDA: Label genetically engineered foods

    1. Sponsored by

Just Label It / Organic Voices

As consumers, we have a right to know how the food we buy is produced, including whether it’s genetically modified. Otherwise, we can’t make informed choices about what’s best for us and our families.

It’s estimated that 60%-70% of processed foods likely contain some genetically engineered material. Plus over 80% of corn and soybeans grown in the U.S. are genetically engineered. Not to mention that the FDA is preparing to approve genetically engineered salmon, which would be the first genetically engineered animal on the market in the United States. But as consumers, we won’t know the difference without mandatory labeling.

The United States is one of the only developed nations not to require the labeling of genetically engineered foods. Even China and Russia label them!

Submit a comment to the FDA demanding that genetically engineered foods be labeled. Please contact the FDA today. They need to hear from more people like you.

It is very important to know if food we are eating has genetically engineered. We have the right to KNOW and to CHOOSE.

Because insane science that think just to make money must be stopped. They are playing with million of lives without knowing the consequences.

This should of happened years ago. There's nothing natural about GMO. We have the right to know what were putting into or bodies.

We deserve to know which foods contain GMO's just as much as we deserve to know the ingredients in any food package. The fight against labeling confirms that they know it is a health concern. If it wasn't a concern that label would be proudly added--but of course, secrecy is needed to hide the truth. This truth is that our food supply is severely compromised and with no accountability.

This is a good reason why you should buy from local growers. For many people, this isn't an option. You can also grow your own stuff, hydroponics is the way to go. Be careful where you get your seeds. Monsanto makes seeds that produce fruit and vegetables that are genetically engineered to not produce seeds. That way you have to buy new seeds every year ! The FDA needs to get their act together, their staffed with people from Big Agriculture or Big Agriculture actively recruits from the FDA to gain more influence. It's just the way it is !
