Tell Republican Leaders: Support Middle Class Families NOT Tax Cuts for the Richest 2%

    1. Sponsored by

      Families USA

When Mitt Romney selected Paul Ryan as his running mate last month, he joined Speaker John Boehner and Senator Mitch McConnell in advancing a dangerous plan that’s been rejected by a majority of Americans.

Representative Ryan’s plan would take away health care protections for women, slash health care for seniors, and jeopardize health care for 30 million children who rely on Medicaid to get basic health services.

And while the Ryan plan makes all these damaging cuts to health care for American families, it extends massive, unaffordable tax cuts and giveaways to the richest 2%.

Take a strong stand against the Romney/Ryan budget. Sign our petition to Speaker John Boehner, Senator Mitch McConnell, Governor Mitt Romney, and Representative Paul Ryan. Tell them American families want solutions that help the middle class NOT more tax breaks for the super rich.

We should be RAISING the tax on the richest. I believe in having the smallest amount of government possible, but there are necessities provided by the government. Birth control and abortions are less expensive than welfare.

Middle class families work hard for what we barely have. Why must money be wasted on the super rich when we struggle to work hard.

Those of us living on a fixed income are permitted to earn a limited amount, and taxed on all of it, and penalized by benefit reduction. The wealthy can use tax breaks, loopholes and "laws" to pay the lowest tax legal, while still making money and enjoying the privilege. Fair is fair - if you earn you should pay. If this country affords you the opportunity, you should repay that opportunity by paying commensurate taxes.
