Tell House Republicans: Stop holding working families hostage to Tea Party demands!

    1. Sponsored by

      Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee

Stand behind President Obama’s veto of the Republicans’ radical payroll tax cut extension.

Republicans' plan to extend the payroll tax cut is a radical blow to seniors and middle class families. And it’s a gift to billionaires and big oil.

The House GOP just rammed through their radical proposal. Sign the petition right now and stand with President Obama's veto threat!

Here are the most outrageous provisions of the Republican plan:

>Requires millions of seniors to pay more for health care.

>Cuts unemployment insurance benefits for one million Americans.

>Tacks on the unrelated, controversial provisions like the Keystone XL Pipeline while cutting environmental air quality standards.

>Lets billionaires and big oil off the hook. They won't pay one more cent under the Republican plan.

The Democrats' plan won't touch Social Security or Medicare, but it will close arcane tax loopholes for the top 1%.

Sign our petition right now telling Boehner, Cantor and Republicans to stop holding the payroll tax cut hostage to Tea Party demands.

To:
Rep. Eric Cantor, Virginia-07
Rep. John Boehner, Ohio-08
Stop holding the payroll tax cut hostage to Tea Party demands. This bill would save the average American family over $1,000 a year.

Pass the payroll tax cut immediately without touching Social Security or Medicare!

Sincerely,

Sincerely,

Congress sure was quick to pass the Bush Tax Cuts for the wealthy and now they won't give the rest of us a tax cut. Congress Republicans at work for the wealthy.

my income is fixed and the little bit extra this tax cut has given me has often meant enough gas money for the month. This was something you were supporting when it got sent to the Senate, but as soon as members of the Tea Party screamed...we all know how that worked.

it's time to stop playing partisan politics and think about what we need instead of what members of the Tea Party want.
