Tell Change.org to add a Men's Rights section!

Change.org offers a Women's Rights section, but has no Men's Rights section.  We find this appalling.  How can a site that regularly promotes petitions about equality ignore half the population?

Men suffer much discrimination in today's world.

Fathers in family court are not treated equally to mothers.  Approximately 75-80% of cases end up with mothers getting sole custody, even when the fathers were the stay-at-home parent and they asked for equal custody.  (1)

Men are routinely called perpetrators of domestic violence, even though half of all DV is mutual, and the rest is evenly divided between men and women.  This discrimination starts at the top (AG Holder) and trickles all the way down to neighborhood abuse shelters.  Men abused by women are often arrested instead of given support.  (2)

These are just a few examples.

And it's not like we haven't asked.  This is the response we received:

"Your concern and passion is very much appreciated. We'd love to add a category for every cause out there and hopefully one day we will. That being said, starting a new cause and making sure it is filled with content, actions and a team to help deliver victories is no small task. The category you've recommended would be a great cause and as soon as we have the ability to support it, we would love to do so. Until then, we hope that you'll work with us to fit these issues into our existing causes and create change to make the world a better place. Thank you for sharing this action with us and using Change.org."

Tell change.org that discriminating against men is wrong. Tell them to add a Men's Rights section.

To:
Change.org, The world's platform for change
Change.org, you are discriminating against men by only offering "Women's Rights" as a category and not offering "Men's Rights". We had to choose "Human Rights" for this petition, even though it belongs under "Men's Rights."

STOP THE DISCRIMINATION NOW!

Add a Men's Rights section today!

Sincerely,
[Your name]

I would love to know exactly when "eventually" is going to be. As a site that so called advocates for change, having had a petition raised to get a equal section for men's rights on this site you have yet to respond with actions. It has now been over three months and you still have not given us a men's rights section or taken down the women's rights category which you said you were going to do. Unless you are being completely hypocritical and going back on your word, you really need to update the 1600+ people that just wanted a fair and equal section for men on your site.

I think men should have the same rights as women and vice versa. In general. When possible and reasonable. I'm not saying we should put urinals in women's restrooms or have women playing in the NFL but, in general, it would be nice if both sexes had the same rights.

Because I feel like that men too deserve their own section, otherwise it's blatant sexism.

When a child in my home was seen with a bruise a neighbor called it in. I was arrested for child about and cuffed immediately. Once they questioned everyone in the house they determined it had been an accident and I was released. Clearly I was arrested only because I was the only adult male in the home.

Because I stand for equality for both genders. If I was a man I'd want as many people to back my rights including support from women, just as I'm a woman and would like support from as many people including men.
