Since 2009, ThunderBug's former performer cheered on the Tampa Bay Lightning. On January 17, 2012 ThunderBug’s performer silly stringed a Boston Bruin fan thus resulting in the Tampa Bay Lightning organization terminating her employment. Please take a moment to view the video and if you agree she did nothing wrong, please sign this petition today. MascotInsider cares about all mascots and we do not feel that what happened to her is right. Join us in our fight for ThunderBug’s performer to have her employment rightfully reinstated.

She was wonderful, especially with children. Not many children can sit through 3 hours of a hockey game. The family experience is what makes it possible for families to go. Thunderbug make it a joy for everyone.

That's a dumb reason to fire your mascot.

I'm a Bruins fan. But firing a mascot for silly string is wrong.
