Take the Pledge to Help Save the Sea Lions Being Killed at Bonneville Dam

Overfishing at the Bonneville Dam has rendered the Chanook salmon endangered. Instead of calling a halt to the excessive fishing, they have decided to eliminate the competition (California sea lions) despite the fact that the sea lions only consume 1% of the fish.

Take the pledge to never eat salmon again.

Seriously, someone obviously did not take notice of the fact that GOD, or which ever higher spiritual power you may believe in created animals FIRST. It was not so that humans can slaughter them for pure enjoyment, it was so that there would be beautiful beings on Earth. How inhumane you are, whoever the "person" was who came up with this idea, to think that it is beneficial to kill an entire specie of animal just so that you can make money. I have no idea how you can live with yourself. I have no idea how you can even still call yourself a human being. Sea lions have NEVER been a threat to the human race, yet we have decimated every single specie of animal, plant, tree, flower, and organism God (see above) has ever made.

The act of killing a sea lion because it is hungry is insanity. Does not the Faroe Islands export farmed salmon to the U.S.? What is NOAA really protecting, their wallets?

I pledged never to eat an animal every again quite a while ago - this is an easy pledge. What is wrong with all these governmental agencies messing around with mother nature? - every plant and animal plays a role in the ecosystem we call Earth - and every artificial change that is made, will have a repercussion and most of the time, those repercussions, are worse than the problem. Allowing this arbitrary slaughter, will come back and bite hard...

Responsible Steward ship is required and these seals are not guilty if over fishing, but are subjected to greed and death, because of the chronic unwillingness by people to alter the current habitat destructive course of actions that have brought these devastating shortages and environmental sorrows about. As a people we owe this to Creation, to take accountability and change, for the old ways have, brought this about, not the seals, so please stop killing for short-term solutions and start conserving for the future. Thank you kindly and bless for for considering the voice of reason in this matter,
