PETITION-Do not waste tax payers' money on dog killer Tom Otterness

I ask that San Francisco not waste $750,000 of our tax payer's monies on dog killer snuff filmer Tom Otterness - please rescind his contract due to public outrage. People who make animal snuff movies should not be rewarded especially from funds off the sweat of the People's backs.

Please consider using the funds for low cost or free spay/neutering of companion animals which would save the government money. Alternately, you can may impliment an animal cruelty/animal ordinance surcharge of $20 to help fund low cost spay/neuter programs which would not even cost the tax payers anything.

We do not consider animal torture and snuff "art," but is deviant activity.

I quote: National Institute of Health
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2792040/

"Cruelty to animals is associated with elevated rates observed in young, poor, men with family histories of antisocial behavior and personal histories of conduct disorder in childhood, and antisocial, obsessive-compulsive and histrionic personality disorders, and pathological gambling in adulthood. Given these associations, and the widespread ownership of pets and animals, effective screening of children, adolescents and adults for animal cruelty and appropriate mental health interventions should be deployed."

Also criminologist note that virtually every serial killer begun their "training" by killing animals because it was *entertaining*.

Thank you.

This is not art, it is a crime. This so called "art" promotes cruelty to animals. Please use the funds for a nobler purpose such as teaching children about compassion for all living creatures.

Animal abuse, cruelty and neglect are CRIMES, not art. People should be punished for these heinous acts, not rewarded with fame and fortune. Shame on anyone who supports animal cruelty art, the blood is on your hands too!

I know it happened a long time ago, but he has done NOTHING to show he is sorry! IF he were to DONATE most of the profits from it to no kill animal shelters at least one time than a lot less people would hate him so much! Actions speak louder than words!!!
