STOP THE TORTURE OF WOLVES in OUR FORESTS

This photo from trapperman.com documents the brutal and unethical torture and killing of a gray wolf in Idaho. The man in the photo, whose webhandle on the site is Pinching, is an example of the horrendous animal cruelty being perpetrated by people, including this Forest Service worker, on wildlife, particularly wolves.

This is an important update. Yesterday I had a phone conversation with Steve Segovia, the Deputy Director of the USDA Forest Service.

He repeated much of what was in James William Gibson’s last article in Earth Island Journal http://www.earthisland.org/journal/index.php/elist/eListRead/idaho_fish_and_game_report_says_trapped_black_wolf_not_s/

The most disturbing news Mr. Segovia told me was how sorry Bransford was that he had put trappers and the Forest Service in a bad light, and in his defense, Mr. Segovia told me, Bransford said he had been overcome with emotion and excitement “since this was his first wolf.”

I am aghast that anyone could accept this as a sane and acceptable excuse for such horrid behavior unless of course, the killing of wild animals is accepted as not only normal but also laudable!!

Please continue to sign so that we can make 7500. The US government organizations need to continue to hear opposing opinions! Also if you are a US Citizen oppose HR 4089!

His Assistant was very pleasant and helpful. Knew about the petition and thanked me for speaking out on this. I told him I wanted to talk to The Chief, and though I would be surprised if this happened, he told me they would get back to me on this. I gave them my phone number. SO I am going to up the total one more time to 7500. Please send this out far and wide. And thanks to those who have already done so. Let's keep up the pressure!!!!

This issue is starting to be noticed by the media at large. Groups like Howling for Justice and individuals who care from all over the world are not gong to let this continue. Please take a look at the recent, six hours ago, Reuters story below. The total can be upped if it looks like we can go over. This petition has only been up two and a half days. The more signatures we can collect the more voice we will have and the more likely that more media will pick up the story.

Nobody has the right to harm any animal and not be punished.

Signing this petition means so much to me because I love wolves and all animals. Animal cruelty is against the law in most countries and I'm pretty sure that trapping, caging and killing wild animals is considered, animal cruelty. Did you know that wolves are one of the few animals that mate for life.

because this is pure torture to wolves, there is no animal that has such a familiar family structure to that of humans, a mother, father and kids( a pack), this is cruel, and torturing the animal is sadistic!

The torture of any animal effects me. Man had raised wolves to be released into the wild and now they want to destroy them ....Senseless. I hope the smiling jackass in the photo has been photo shopped and not really there .... If he is there I would like to see the look on his face when his nuts are steel trapped like the wolf's leg and the animal in agony ..... Sick photo but unfortunately reality. He should have put the animal out of its misery and not allowed it to suffer through his sick photo shoot.

Virgil. I challenge you to watch this happen before your very own eyes. This is the definition of evil.
