Texas Death Row Inmate Carl Henry Blue #999151 has been given an execution date of 21st February 2013

We, the undersigned, are begging the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles to give clemency to Carl Henry Blue for the following reasons :

* Carl Henry Blue was first convicted of capital murder in 1995. this sentence was overturned on appeal due to biased racist testimony by an Expert Witness and Carl Henry Blue faced a new trial and was again sentenced to death in 2001. The crime, which Carl Henry Blue has always admitted to and indeed he handed himself into the police, not ever trying to evade arrest was wrong, but it was not planned and therefore when given the facts, this was clearly a crime of passion fuelled by a jealous rage .. something that, in Texas, is NOT supposed to be charged as capital murder.

*Carl Henry Blue has an IQ within the borderlines of mental retardation. making him ineligible for execution due to it being unconstitutional to execute a mentally retarded person.

* Carl Henry Blue is extremely remorseful for what happened, he has repeatedly expressed sorrow and regret for the victim, her family and especially for her Children. He is himself a caring and loving father whose own children, if his sentence is not commuted, will also have to learn to live with the loss of a parent. He has a loving family and a Fiancé and many friends who love him dearly, he is very stable in all of his relationships. Carl Henry Blue has proved to be the perfect example of rehabilitation and spiritual development.

We appeal to you to grant Clemency, and commute the death sentence of Carl Henry Blue, and to conserve life.

Nobody has the right to take away someone's life. I also think that people should be forgiven and if they show remorse and everyone needs a second chance.

No one should be subject to death penalty, it is wrong and won't achieve anything except discrediting the Texan legal and judicial system.
