Stop the Development of Michigan’s Sand Dunes

    1. Sponsored by

      Michigan League of Conservation Voters

Recently, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) approved a permit to pave a two-mile long road through critical sand dunes along one of the most pristine stretches of Lake Michigan shoreline, just outside of Saugatuck. The permit will pave the way for a multi-million dollar housing development, a condominium complex and a new marina, all atop fragile sand dunes, adjacent to vulnerable wetlands, and in view of Lake Michigan.

We need your support to demand that Governor Snyder step in to right this wrong.

Sign on below to demand a change of course that protects Michigan’s critical sand dunes, an emblem of the Great Lakes State.

Leave nature alone! There are plenty of homes/housing available as it is without destroying beautiful land to create more!
