If ESU proceeds with unnecessary and historically unprecedented deep cuts to essential academic departments, student services, and tenured faculty, lasting damage will be done to ESU's value and reputation.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but make no mistake. The fight has only begun for us, and we will battle every single one of these cuts tooth and nail. Count on it!

Budget axe about to fall at East Stroudsburg University

The budget axe is about to fall at East Stroudsburg University. To make up a $6.9 million budget deficit, teaching jobs are on the line and so are university programs. But one group is hoping to save the day or at least save some jobs.

    4. Believe In ESU rally set for Tuesday (Oct. 29) at 2 p.m. at ESU Stonehenge

      Bill Broun
      Petition Organizer

A massive rally to support quality education at East Stroudsburg University is planned for 2 p.m. this Tuesday (Oct. 29) at "Stonehenge" at the front of campus.

Please join us as we demonstrate our belief in the greatness of this university!

Expect great music by ESU musicians, free chocolate, engaging speakers, and a vibrant atmosphere.

With so many faculty members' jobs, departments, and core services still very much under threat, we think a large turn-out for this rally is critical.

Departments considered most vulnerable at this writing are Counseling, Chemistry, Physics, Music, Early & Elementary Education, Physical Education and Movement and Lifetime Fitness.

ESU's future, the value of its degrees, and the role ESU plays in the regional economy are all on the line.

      WE BELIEVE IN ESU!

This is important to me because I was once a student at ESU and I have friends in the education program and I wouldnt want to see their hard work be a waste due to cuts! Also all the other majors that students and parents spend money on! Don't cut the education programs!
