The continued downgrading of services at St John's Hospital, Livingston, is detrimental to the health of the people of West Lothian and we should not be forced to travel to Edinburgh for healthcare treatment.

We have money for wars and killing. We have money to buy out banks who have been incompetent. We have money to assist Norwegian global companies to poison our sea and lochs with chemicals to treat sea lice when it is impossible to farm predatory fish sustainably without wiping out our wild salmon. There is none of our tax money to pay for essential services. Our nursing profession are screaming for help as they are aware they are doing everything they can and it's not enough due to cuts by government. Whoa appear to willingly blind and in my opinion not representing the tax payers but appear to be promoting themselves. Tax payers money is being spent unwisely. This is governments fault. they need to be accountable to the tax payer.

West Lothian is a much larger area than Edinburgh or Glasgow with only one hospital, it is unthinkable that we do not have our own hospital to cover our very large area???

ST JOHNS,is extremely important to the people of west lothian as its our first place of contact for emergencies,Although the goverment want to save money, should that come at the price of peoples health..we cannot all afford to travel to edinburgh and other places, and i beleive that this would put even further strain on the families that are struggling with the economy already....maybe members of parliamant should cut back on there expenses claims and then the country could save hospitals from closure, and keep the medical staff in the wonderful job that they do......it must be great for mps to use private heath care at our expense, and to get away with the stupid decisions that they make from there well furnished, heated offices that US..the taxpayers have paid for.

West Lothian people waited for years for a hospital with full services. Why should it be taken from us to support the monstrous White Elephant that is the new RI. The whole of West Lothian deserves better than this constant downgrading it's a total betrayal of all the promises made
