Stop "Creation Science"

The passage of these kinds of bills and the teaching of so-called creation science in public schools greatly undermines the value of American education. That this was even proposed is a serious embarrassment to Americans everywhere and is a blatant mockery of the constitution and of real science education. We should unite against any proposals that will ultimately undermine our children's education and our competitiveness in education, science and innovation. Real science in the science classroom, period.

We are making some noise! I received an email today from a creationist advocate asking me to take down the petition, making illogical arguments against teaching evolution.
Keep the signatures coming! Let us put a stop to the decline and deterioration of our children's education.

Good rate to start off and thank you. Let's pass this around as much as possible. I have a lofty goal of 1 million signatures to let the state and federal governments know that we are serious.

The absolute lack of ANY cross-species access to solutions is all the evidence you need for evolution. How this relates to the observed nested hierarchy will screw with your mind if you try to dismiss evolution. If you try to claim "common designer" then forget intelligent design because the strict adherence to a nested hierarchy is anything but intelligent. It's as mindless as can be.

Faith belongs in theology class, not Science class. Teaching lies about the "doubts" of sciences like evolution undermine the strength of Science and Technology in the United States and will simply erase any lead we might have enjoyed in the world. Instead of the research and development center we will become the intellectual laughing stock.

Those who have no understanding of what the word science means can not be given the opportunity to define the teaching of it.

Creation by a deity is not science, it is religion. Religion should be taught in bible school, not in public school. Keep your god out of our school and I promise not to think in your church!
