Stop Al-Sayed al-Essawy from murdering an innocent lion!

Citizens all over the world and within Egyptian borders, are horrified by the news concerning the man, Al-Sayed al-Essawy and his plans to fight and kill an innocent lion on June 25.

Al-Sayed al-Essawy states that he bought the lion for 25,000 EGP (U.S. $4,200) and has asked the Ministry of Interior to agree to hold the event in front of the Giza Pyramids. Our question to them: Do they wish for Egypt itself, as well as the greatest of human-constructed acheivements, to be remembered for such barbarity?

There is no doubt in our minds that Al-Sayed al-Essawy is a very strong man, however, he shows great ignorance and an inability to show the true strength of compassion for even considering this act. Man is no longer judged by his ability to bend and break life. Man must be judged by his ability to show mercy and compassion for all that lives, in order for us to better ourselves.

We will ask the President of The Arab Republic of Egypt, Ministry of Tourism & Egyptian State Information Services to show mercy and save this lion.

So what happened to this lion? Two days since this supposed fight, and I can't find any more about it on the internet. Did it take place or not?

This is an outrage and this lion deserves to live out the rest of his days in a sanctuary. If there isn't one available in Egypt, I am sure that we can find one in the U.S. for him.

If this fight goes ahead - none of my family will EVER go visit Egypt - not one cent will they benefit

There will be an outcry of people objecting and voting to take their money elsewhere

      This is sick & barbaric
