It is a legally binding contract. Staples is not above the law just because they are a large company.

Looks like all of us got the refunds. As for Staples honoring the contracts, they clearly have no intention of doing so, but as for us, we can boycott the store for poor business practices. Thank you to everyone who signed this!

Folks, it looks like it will take a class action lawsuit to force Staples to honor the transactions that were completed, i.e., orders placed, payment made by purchaser and accepted by seller. This constitutes a contract. Class Action. Anyone know a good attorney?

I purchased 1 pack of the Copic 72 marker set as a gift. I am a rewards member & applied my coupons they just sent me.

Then on Monday the order was canceled. So I called Customer Service asking what's up. The first CSR after giving my order number hung up. I went to my local Staples and the Sales Staff told me the markers weren't even listed in the Stock Book anymore. I asked if my coupons were still good and they couldn't tell me.

The customer service has been incredibly rude to me regarding their blunder. I tried calling the office of the president - 1.800.338.0252 (press) 4

I've filed with the Better Business Bureau - Here is their main office address:

      500 Staples Dr

      Framingham, MA 01702

This is if you'd like to file with the BBB. While it's not a "Bait & Switch" it is "Phishing" to which they now have all that customer data in which to sell to third parties. This is what frustrates me. I also suggest checking your states laws regrading this practice. I think there are 8 states that even if the price is incorrect they have to full fill the order.

Can anyone say class action lawsuit?

It is important because they have collected my information without honoring the prices they listed.

I tried to order five sets and the order didn't go through. I called the Customer Service number to complete the order. I was told the markers were out of stock. I then asked for a rain-check and was told I couldn't have one as they were out of stock. Well when else would one ask for a raincheck??? If I made a mistake dealing with Staples I am absolutely sure they would make me pony up. And I would have no problem doing so.
