Stand with President Obama on the "Buffett Rule"

Stand with President Obama on the "Buffett Rule"

Middle-class families shouldn't have to pay a higher tax rate than millionaires and billionaires.

So President Obama has proposed the "Buffett Rule," which would require the wealthiest Americans to pay a tax rate at least as high as the middle class. Republicans are already calling this "class warfare," and they will fight this plan with everything they have.

But it's just common sense.

Take action today to tell the President you've got his back on this one.

President Obama's plan to reduce the deficit by implementing the "Buffett Rule," which would require the wealthiest Americans to pay a tax rate at least as high as the middle class, is just common sense.

Tax the richest Americans at a fair rate and ease the burden on the middle class. I'm tired of working 50 hours a week while people around me are laid off and the executives continue to pull in millions without contributing their fair share to support our great country. THE MIDDLE CLASS CAN'T DO IT ALL, WE NEED HELP FROM THOSE WHO CAN AFFORD IT MOST!

Because the only reason the people who don't like this is because they use NEW MATH! 25% across the board no matter how much you make. $20,000 to $2,000,000 you still make money and when you get old, if you live that long, you might have Social Security. You might even have free medical. You MIGHT even be able to retire. We want but we DON'T want to pay for it. You can't have your cake and eat it too!!!!

I would go even further and say they should just simplify the taxes and make it a flat tax rate with no deductions for anyone. The amount of extra tax revenue we would gain from the rich who understand how to avoid taxes, would allow the rest of us to have simpler and LOWER taxes. I'm so sick of people making things complicated to hide what's really happening.

This petition makes everyone signing it look just plain dumb. Warren Buffett (and those like him) does not pay income tax. He pays capital gains taxes which are a lower rate than income tax.

President Obama knows this as does the media but they are playing a political game that a lot of Americans have fallen for.

Please look this up on your own. It's neither Left or Right. You've been duped again by Washington.
