Stand with President Obama: Help protect preventative care for women

Stand with President Obama: Help protect preventative care for women

    1. Sponsored by

      Organizing for Action

The Obama administration announced historic new guidelines that ensure that women can receive a wide range of preventative health services at no additional cost. As of August 2012, contraception, breastfeeding support, domestic violence screening, HIV screenings, and other services are available under all new insurance plans -- without a co-payment or deductible -- under the Affordable Care Act.

Thanks to these new guidelines, fewer women will have to make a choice between their physical and financial health.

But we've got to protect this victory. Take the pledge today and say that you'll help build an unprecedented grassroots campaign for 2012 by organizing in your community. When you add your name, we'll keep you updated on the ways you can get involved.

I pledge to help build the 2012 campaign because President Obama has made it possible for more women to have access to the health care they need.

I'll help to win the election by organizing in my community and getting my friends, neighbors, family, and co-workers to organize and support the campaign with me.

Sincerely,

Because preventive care, including family planning services, is vital to the health of women and children and is much more cost effective.

Women have been too long ignored, and this will SAVE the taxpayers in the long run, too.

I am male, but my wife is a woman, my sisters are women, and even my own mother is a woman. I love them all dearly, and will do what I can to keep them safe.
