Sprint: Stop charging $10 Premium Data Fee or deploy LTE in San Diego!

    1. Petition by

Since 2009, customer service representatives and store representatives have been misleading customers promising WiMaX/LTE to us San Diego customers who pay an extra $10 premium data charge for spotty and slow 3G service. Being such a large city, we do deserve to have a date as to when LTE will be coming to us. We do need to stop paying premium data fees for sub-par data service. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 4G LTE for the blazing speed that was advertised, but I can't use the features advertised because Sprint doesn't provide that in San Diego but I still get charged $10.

You are rolling out in less populated areas and we are becoming more and more behind from all the other competitors. Only thing we have going for us is its unlimited, but at less then a mbps its horrendous

Sprint has been charging loyal customers for services that are not available in San Diego. We want our money back!

I have been a Sprint customer sine 1997. I have 3 phones and paying for premium data for 2 + years. Have the HTC EVO for 3 years and can only use it on 4G in LA or Vegas 6 days a year. They keep lying about the 4G service. I signed up of email alerts on 4G and I fear we won't using email anymore when we get 4G in San Diego. Switching to AT&T, T-Mobile or Straight talk any day. Only 195 names so far? Maybe there are only 200 people using sprint in San Diego that's why there is no issue.

I've been paying my $10 extra per phone for over a year now. I changed phones and plans based on soon availability of 4G. Tied into plan while everyone else's 4G is all around me. 8th largest city in US. This is ridiculous. Old 3G Heroes didn't have this fee on hem. Seems like a rip off.

For three years sprint has promised San Diego residents 4g service and has yet to deliver .SD is the nations 4 the largest city and has yet to get 4g service.they charge me for that service yet don't deliver.their constant pleas of wait just a little longer we are getting it soon.their reasoning behind this charge is in case I travel to a city that has it.while this sounds good upfront,I don't travel have yet to .if that is your reasoning that make it an optional service.I'm extremely unhappy with sprint customer care and it seems criminal that such a large provider neglects such a large clientele.
