Sprint, ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, Samsung and Corning Inc.(Gorilla Glass 2.0): Repair or Replace Samsung Galaxy S3's that have defective Gorilla Glass 2

There are many examples of how the glass on the Samsung Galaxy S3 is defective in forums, YouTube, and other online sources. Some with it breaking without impact. Other where it takes almost nothing to crack the screen. The responses from Samsung and the Cell Phone Carriers is that "ANY" glass issue is customer abuse. They need to investigate without their prejudicial bias, and possibly recall the phones that have the defective glass.

From Corning's Web Site:
http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/products-with-gorilla/samsung

"Visually stunning, incredibly tough Corning® Gorilla® Glass enables today’s sleekest smartphone and tablet designs, while providing exceptional damage resistance to the drops, bumps, and scrapes of everyday use. Gorilla Glass is sensitive enough for today’s most sophisticated touch applications, and is available with an easy-to-clean coating.

From Samsung's website:
http://www.samsung.com/us/news/newsRead.do?news_seq=20180

"The expansive display is protected by Gorilla Glass 2.0 to guard against cracks and scratches and provide enhanced touchscreen responsiveness."

This is from their announcement of the S3. Samsung has removed all reference to Gorilla Glass in their current S3 description.

      Hi Signers,

I was recently at a restaurant bar and noticed the person next to me had an S3. In striking up a conversation with them about our phones, I showed my cracked screen with the barely perceptible nick on the case. They showed me their phone, and admitted that it had been dropped many times. It looked like it had gone through a dryer cycle (OK, slight exaggeration). The original S3 case/cover was beat up with nicks and scratches. HOWEVER, THERE WAS NOT ONE CRACK, NICK, OR MARK ON THE SCREEN!!! They obviously had an S3 with non-defective Gorilla Glass 2.

This is another example of how some of us received a MANUFACTURER DEFECTIVE PRODUCT!!!

Some Galaxy S3 (SIII) phones made by Samsung, have defective Corning Gorilla Glass 2.0. Defective from the manufacturer, defective from the factory, defective from the box we got it in.

It is an embarrassment to Samsung that they do not address this issue.
IT IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT, NOT USER ABUSE!

      Thank you for signing!!

I spent hard working money on a phone that became damaged from absence of abuse!

My S4 apparently uses the same defective gorilla glass as it has developed two small cracks this morning with no user input or abuse. It came out of my pocket that way.

It just happened to me. The phone basically self-combusted while it was in my purse!
