From Petition Creator Madiha Hussain: After the many petitions signed, the Obama administration stopped Shell from continuing its project in the Arctic.

Hi, my name is Madiha Hussain and when I first joined, I didn't know it would drive me to start a petition. I'm only 13 and I want to make a difference in the world.

Shell wants to dig up the Arctic for its vast supply of oil. It may sound like no big deal, but it is. All of kinds of animals and wildlife live in the Arctic including polar bears, walruses, snow owls, and much more. OVER 75% OF THE ICE IN THE ARCTIC HAS MELTED IN THE LAST 30 YEARS ALONE. Letting Shell and other major oil companies dig up there will not only destroy the wildlife, but whats left of this great wilderness. What Shell plans to dig up over there will make billions of dollars for Shell, but is only worth about three years supply of oil. Is destroying this habitat worth getting a scarce supply of oil?

Help me fight Shell by signing this petition and recruiting other friends and family. Congrats to everyone who took their time to sign petitions and write letters to make Shell stop drilling! Now, Shell has just postponed their drilling in the Arctic, which means that they can still come back to drill. Keep up the good work and soon the Arctic will thank you.
