Justin Vacula is a very dedicated activist for a range of secular and atheist causes, who uses a range of media to further the cause of secularism in America. The internet is a place where anyone campaigning for anything will sooner or later attract a small but persistent and dedicated group of haters. In the past, his haters have published his home address, his parents' address, they sent him hateful messages and there has been an effort to damage his career that is very disturbing in its intensity and fanaticism. We stand by Justin Vacula and oppose self-appointed 'freethinkers' and 'feminists' whose only purpose in life is to wind up pointless controversy and who resent the fact that there are people out there who actually do productive things to further the secular cause.

I understand that Mr. Vacula has stood down. I find that unacceptable since the reasoning behind his standing down is based on dishonesty. I would hope he would be encouraged to return.

Social petitions should not be used as a method of applying political force to individuals to satisfy personal vendetta's based on false allegations

This conflation of secularism with anything else has gotten out of hand. I never do these petition things but this is just silly.

It is important to stop the radical hatred spewed by the FtB club. Vacula is a positive power in the wider atheist community. Just because he doesnt pander to skepchicks, FtB et al. doesnt me he is not a valuable representative of 100% of the movement, and the progression of equal rights for all. The disinformation on the opposing petition is down right hateful and they should be ashamed. That is all.

Stephanie Zvan's petition against Justin Vacula is dishonest character assination of the worst kind by a bitter woman who continually stirs up controversy in order to compensate for feelings of inadequacy brought on be self resentment and an unfulfilled life.
