The site of the rezoning request is a commercial zone that the City Planning Committee has targeted as a commercial district. Rezoning will prevent future businesses use of this land. We do not want a charter school in the middle of this general business zone. We support new business in our community that will benefit all children and taxpayers, not a charter school that benefit a few.

This issue about charter school is important to me because of the methods being use to push out public school and create a more privative school system that in some cases picks and choose what students they want. Therefore, continuing the educational gaps between racial, social and economic class.

Why the witch hunt against Charter Schools? It is amazing how educators FEAR the very few charter schools that exist while bilking public tax dollars to fund their pay checks. We need more school CHOICE!!! Our kids DESERVE IT.

Public education funds need to stay with public schools. New buildings dilute the ability of the fixed pot of money to cover the biggest expense teachers. Please improve the existing schools.
