Sadly, every animal in every circus is trained with physical and psychological abuse. These animals can be chained for up to 100 hours at a time with no food and no water. They are often sick from infections and internal bleeding but are still expected to perform at their best and without fail. When these animals do not perform to the standards set by their trainers they are jabbed with hooks, beaten with crowbars and burned with blowtorches. These are standard training practices for every circus. Please say no to this and stop the Shrine circus from coming to Oshawa, ON, on July 18, 2012.  Animals were not created to amuse and entertain people!

People who inflict suffering on animals are cold hearted and should be given equal opportunity to suffer the way they cause animals to suffer.

It is unbelievable to me that circuses involving animals are even allowed to operate in this day and age. I will never support the animal cruelty that happens within these shows.
