Victory

Kayla Mitchell from Pahrump, NV started this petition calling on officials to allow the Bengal Tigers of BigCatEncounters.org to remain in their present location. After 477 animal lovers signed the petition, she had her hearing with the Nye County Commissioners and they approved the Conditional Use Permit for the center.

It is a proven fact that tigers in private shelters live longer lives than those in the wild. The Bengal tigers of BigCatEncounters.Org are located on 20 acres of property, isolated from other homes and needs to remain a permanent home for the tigers. The Conditional Use Permit will ensure the tigers remain safe and secure in their present home. The private, not open to the public shelter, provides a calm and peaceful environment for these endangered species. There are currently 5 other facilities operating without this permit in NYE County. The "Special Treatment" that we are receiving is questionable, as we are a State of Nevada Humane Shelter, with the director who is a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran, who's tigers provide therapy. Please help and sign this petition to help us keep our peace and tranquility. Thank you, blessings to you, from Karl and Kayla Mitchell

I think humanity has already contributed to enough extinctions of other species while on this planet. We have the power to stop these extinctions before they happen, but not to reverse them in hindsight. I think that if we continue to upset natural balances, we will ultimately pay the price with our own extinction.

I BELIEVE IN FREEDOM TO CHOOSE THE ANIMALS YOU LOVE AND CARE FOR GIVE SUPPORT AND KEEP FOR UNSELFISH REASONS THE RIGHT TO DO GOOD FOR SOME ANIMAL THAT CANNOT DO FOR ITSELF AFTER IT HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM ITS ORIGINAL ENVIROMENT AND TO PROVIDE AN ATMOSPHERE AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL THAT IT CAME FROM IS NOT A CRIME IT IS A BLESSING / ZOOS ARE NOT THE ONLY OR THE BEST OR THE ONLY KNOWLEDABLE AND ACCOUNTABLE PERSONS OR ENTITY TO REFER TO. THAT IS WHY WE NEED TO KEEP FOUNDATIONS AND SUPPORT FOUNDATIONS LIKE THIS INSTEAD OF SLAUGHT HOUSES BECOMING THE FIRST CHOICE OR FOREIGN MARKET THAT KILL TO HAVE DELICACY TO EAT....

These animal's are very beautiful. Kayla and Karl take such great care of them..They are not abused in any way. The only people that are distroying these animal's are the ones that don't understand the Tiger's. They are a sense of rehabilitation to some people. I have watched the program's that the Mitchell's have done and have seen the remarkable things that Karl has done for other animal's. I hope that for the future of these beautiful animal's that they are able to stay in the home that they have had all there lives..

Karl , Kayla & their Cats have been in Pahrump for many years. In fact I've lived here for 25+ years, they used to reside just down the street from me. Never in all of my years here did I ever hear of any problems arising due to their cats!! This is all so STUPID!! They treat the cats like they are part of their family They DON'T Abuse them or do they allow anyone else to!! This Town is just trying to be a city that it is not!!
