The American Folk Art Museum is one of the most significant buildings in the oeuvre of modern architecture, furthermore it is arguably the crowning achievement of the careers of celebrated architects Tod Williams and Billie Tsien. In an era where we strive to be sustainable and considerate of our environment, what kind of precedent does this set that buildings are disposable things with life spans less than 15 years?

Few buildings are poetry. This is one of the few built in our city in the past generation.

As an architecture student I believe prominent buildings must be saved for future students to learn from.
