Save North Korean Refugees #SaveMyFriend

Innocent North Korean refugees, some of which are our friends and family, are at risk of execution if repatriated to North Korea.

This case is important because it is the first arrest of North Korean refugees in China after Kim Jung-il's death. Kim Jung-un, the son of Kim Jung-il and NK's current leader, declared that refugees who flee North Korea during the 100-day mourning period of his father's death would be annihilated along with their families.

30 have been caught and sent back to North Korea, but many more lives are at risk -- North Koreans that are caught trying to defect are faced with the cruelest death sentence, often preceded by a long process of torture or excruciating labor. This is because the North Korean government perceives defectors as the number one threat to their authority.

If the international community, especially China, doesn’t take a strong stance on saving North Korean refugees once and for all, they are guilty of supporting the death of thousands of innocent lives. China has the power and opportunity to rewrite history and stop one of the greatest atrocities of our time -- on behalf of our friends and family, we plea, please help #SaveMyFriend!

 30 North Korean already repatriated.

The news are reporting that China has repatriated the 30 Refugees.
It seems China has done this to in fear that if this issue get more attention,
it will have to face with harsher consequences.
In other words, they want to silence us.

However we will continue to Cry Out for the thirty who are, as we speak, most likely being tortured.
We will cry out because that is the only thing we can do. We will continue to be voice for the other several hundred North Koreans in China who are in prison waiting to be deported. We will continue to raise awareness for the several tens of thousands of North Koreans who have escaped to China in search for food and freedom. Dear China, Please help us save our friends..

Friends of the Thirty One.. Continue your plea and hollering through all mediums so that something like this never happens again...

SEOUL, Feb. 20 (Yonhap) -- South Korea continues to press China to stop repatriating North Korean defectors found within its borders, but taking those demands to a higher level will require further consideration, Seoul's top envoy to Beijing said Monday.

The remarks by Ambassador Lee Kyu-hyung came after local media reported Sunday that South Korea will soon urge China to comply with international treaties banning the repatriation of refugees to risk-prone areas.

South Korean lawmakers and human rights activists have recently stepped up demands calling for China to stop repatriating defectors following reports that dozens of North Koreans were rounded up earlier this month to be sent back to their home country. In the North, the defectors reportedly face harsh persecution and even execution.

"We repeatedly stress (to the Chinese) that this issue must be dealt with from a humanitarian standpoint," the ambassador told reporters in Seoul during a visit to attend

As a resident of Washington, I constantly hear the never-ending sad stories from the China-North Korea border. The Chinese government will return some 30 defectors to North Korea. They face life-long imprisonment or execution at the hands of a kangaroo court. The Tumen River forming the China-North Korea border is not deep and expansive except for the summer season when it floods.

Many of them attempted to go to South Korea after crossing the river via the tropical jungle on the China-Laos border, the Laos-Vietnam border or crossing the Mekong River to reach Thailand. Each border is patrolled by soldiers, policemen and plainclothes officers. Most dangerous is the China-North Korea border.

Beijing and Pyongyang are not friendly to those who seek food and freedom. The North Korean regime considers them traitors. Chinese border security forces always attempt to find, arrest, interrogate and finally return them to the North. They are escapees from hunger and starvat

Protesters have rallied outside the Chinese embassy in the South Korean capital against Beijing's plans to repatriate 33 recent refugees from North Korea.

Some of the protesters Saturday in Seoul carried banners and chanted slogans asking for the release of the North Koreans, who were arrested after crossing the border into China.

North Korean defector Hue Kang-il says that if these people are returned, they will be publicly executed or sent to a labor camp.

“If they are sent back to North Korea, those 33 people will be executed in public or spend the rest of their lives in a political prison camp, fearing for their lives. Also I think, an unspeakable crime of killing their families of three generations is taking place in North Korea.”

South Korean opposition lawmaker Park Sun-Young said China has ignored the international human rights laws by sending North Korean refugees back home and that South Korea must work to prevent forcible

We need to help North Korean people all 200,000 of them in prison camps and all the people the children the most. Why is the world turning a blind eye? Oh yes that's right the world (USA, GBR, and the rest) has nothing to gain by helping these people. There is no oil so why bother. Yes I know they have nukes but we must do something. We sit in this world and let this crazy leader and his "people" carry out some of the most horrendous acts of murder, torturer and genocide the world has ever seen but not one government seems to highlight this to the rest of the world. The people I talk to think that its the whole of North Korea to blame! We need to tell the world what is happening its far worse than what Poll Pott did and just as bad as Rwanda if not worse! We have no clue how many people are being killed and tortured every day in these death camps and how many are being human guinea pigs for chemical warfare. We need to act and try to help in any way even if our governments can't. the refugees you see in the picture above will all now be dead or being tortured. Help as much as you can sign petitions, join networking groups do what you can!!
