Focus on the World Series and stop attacking California's future

San Francisco Giants' primary owner and chairman Charles B. Johnson is currently a #1 fan and funder of a destructive campaign that would hurt California's children and our future. As a top contributor to the No on Proposition 30 campaign, if Johnson is successful, he will force a $6 billion cut to schools and prompt steep tuition hikes for students and their families. Giants fans and their opponents can all agree that California's schools and students are our future! Tell Mr. Johnson to focus on the World Series and not on destroying California's public schools, colleges and universities.

No on Prop. 30 only hurts our most vulnerable and needier citizens. CSU, Community College students, UC students, Pre-K-12. We have a revenue problem that people with the most means can afford to contribute a little more. It is not reliance on government, it is about serving those that need to be served. That is what happens in a community. Long time Giants fan who is very sad to see this fact about our ownership.

I'd like to ask Mr. Johnson this question: why is it important to YOU to have this proposition defeated? Whose pocket are you in? As they say, follow the money (the money that is even more than your money).

I support public education because I, like most of us, would like to live in a civilized society. Restricting access to public education means more uneducated and frustrated people on the streets, less opportunities for jobs and personal development, and a significant increase in the crime rate and the number of prisons. Why Mr. Johnson? Why?! With your abilities and opportunities you can help, not destroy, public education in California.

We aren't in this alone. After us, come others. We have a duty to ensure that we leave this place a better place for those who come after. Its all about Education. You can't take care of the rest without it.
