sAAve American Airlines- Current AMR Executives; Please Submit Your Resignations

To the current senior executive of American Airlines/AMR:

Please submit your resignations and decline your severance packages now that American and US Airways will be merging.

To everyone that travels or knows someone that does:

The employees of American Airlines have endured deteriorating working conditions, mismanagement for over a decade and are now facing pay cuts, layoffs and working conditions intentionally made intolerable so as to force them to leave their careers.

The management at American Airlines has enjoyed over $400 million in executive bonuses as workers have given billions in concessions since 2003. They are now being forced to take additional pay cuts following AA's bankruptcy filing. Additionally, employees are have also been forced to agree not to protest executive bonuses in the future.

Many loyal American Airlines passengers have been forced to look elsewhere as AA's overall customer experience has failed to significantly improve and Innovation at the airline has fallen behind that of the competition.

We ask American's shareholders as well as US Bankruptcy Judge  Sean Lane to carefully consider a selection of new leadership that has previously demonstrated an ability to turn around distressed companies in aviation and/or other industries that may be applied at American Airlines.

Now that American Airlines and US Airways have agreed to merge; the current American Airlines executive leadership must do the right thing and resign while declining to accept severance packages as other AA employees continue to disproportionately sacrifice.

Flying has become more stressful overall. Allowing knives on board has the possibility of empowering an already stressed out passenger into taking an action he/she might later regret.

Because my son has dedicated over 25 years of service to American Airlines, and has endured the deteriorating conditions far too long.

I have worked for AA for 20 years. I have watched this airline fall from the sky. The workers are the ones who keep the planes flying while senior executives do what they can to shut it down. They get bonuses for losing money and we take pay cuts. They make stupid decisions and blame our high pay.
