Will you, please, sign a Petition to follow up actions taken by various animal groups to protect our beloved animals. If I am able to post a picture up here, you will see the baby elephant on the ground with his feet tied in ropes by, I assume, their caretakers. Heartwrenching. We need to stop this. Here is their invitation to their Protest on Wednesday, July 11, 2012

Over 500 activists joined in the "Greatest Circus Protest On Earth" last year, and together, we can make the protests even bigger this year!

Animal Defenders International is coordinating together with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), In Defense of Animals, Last Chance for Animals (LCA) and the Animal Protection and Rescue League to organize protests before every performance to advocate for the elephants and all the other animals who are forced to perform in the horrendous Ringling Brothers Circus.

We have 2 protests planned for opening day at the Staples Center in LA:
Wednesday, July 11th at 11:45AM - 1PM
Wednesday, July 11th at 5:45PM - 8:00PM

Please meet us at the intersection of South Figueroa Street and Chick Hearn Court.

Shame on the Staples Center for letting these animal abusers use their facility & shame on the City of LA for granting the permits to this scum.

Please feel free to call RIngling Brothers and tell them what you think of their Circus at wither number:

I really hope to see you there! If you cannot be there please SHARE this post so that others may see it, no matter where you live. Thanks! Chris Hoar

No being should be mistreated to make money or entertain. Ringling needs to be an example to the young and others who appreciate the Circus but not abuse.

All animals have feelings but can not show them or talk about how they are being treated. They need to be free to roam in the wild as nature intended them to be!

these poor elephants should be out in the wild living the lives they deserve, not being on the road year round being prodded with electrical sticks to perform these ridiculous tricks.
