Stop Bill C-38 and split it into smaller bills

The budget bill is about more than dollars and cents. Bill C-38 contains too many elements that should not be approved in one bill, such as the following:
- abolishing the Fair Wages and Hours of Labour Act, which will reduce people's wages;
- changing employment insurance to force people to accept unsuitable positions;
- deleting 280,000 immigration applications; and
- giving U.S. federal agents jurisdiction in Canada.

This article summarizes the key points: http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/05/22/pol-list-budget-bill-changes.html.

Please support this petition and write your MP asking him/her to vote no on the bill. According Tory MP David Wilks, who also feels this bill should be split, we only need 13 Tory MPs to vote against the bill to be successful.

Please share this petition with everyone you know.

Thank you.

      Proof of how much our MPs are controlled. All the more reason to stop this bill. MPs represent their constituents, not the party leader.

      Undemocratic, opaque, and transposes far too much power to the Federal Government of Canada.

      I don't agree with the immigration and labour ramifications of this bill.

      There are too many things in the budget that are not budget related. Especially concerned about environmental protection, changes to EI, deleting immigration applicants. These things all work to destroy the things that Canadians value.
