We the people, are petitioning for term limits for the United States Congress, including both the US House of Representatives and the US Senate.

With no term limits, both houses have been stagnant for far too long, allowing party lines and partisan talking points stand in the way of true bi-partisan progress.  The only real choice American voters have is to vote in one party or the other, or accept Congress's ineffectiveness.  America deserves better and we believe that term limits are an important first step to correct the issues in Washington.

As such, Senators and Representatives should be restricted to time-in-service not to exceed 12 years (allows for two six-year terms for Senators).  Terms are not required to be served is sucsession.  By setting term limits, we can ensure that the House and Senate will have a continuous rotation of new individuals who will bring new ideas to the table to solve our country's issues.

Once we hit the 100,000 signature mark, we will deliver this petition to the parties targeted in this petition in Washington D.C.

To stop the potential for corruption in our government. And to make the time spent in our government more meaningful - to prevent complacency.

America has become an Oligarchy. It is long past time to return it to a Democracy.

Career politicians are killing our democracy. They are obviously indebted so deeply to big business that their actions represent big business over the constituents they were voted in to represent.

Politics was never meant to be a career choice. We need new/fresh ideas in Congress.

The future of our country is currently in the hands of an elite few. For the republic to stand, this must change!
