Stop Body Modification Discrimination in the Workplace

In a society where equality is at the forefront of our goals and change is something we are striving for, let's embrace a change for the better. Let's live in a world where we are not only accepted for our color, creed, gender, or sexual orientation but also for our individuality. Let's work in a market where we are evaluated on our competence and skill rather than whether we do or do not have tattoos. I propose making it illegal to discriminate against someone simply for being modified when they are clearly capable of doing a proper job. There are many decisions that one makes in life that are protected by policies such as this, but modification is not one of them. I want to change that.

Yep sorry get over it, i have no showing tattoos but discrimination is discrimination....If i cant tell someone I don't think your right for my company because of your skin tone, religion, or being an illegal immigrant then why should i be able to tell you your your not qualified because of your tattoos....i think the first 3 deserve more discrimination for job positions than tattoos or piercings....

because it is unfair to the people who want such things as tattoos and piercings to be discriminated against because of it. because you dont know them personally and dont know why they do those things. ANTI DISCRIMINATION AGAINST BODY MODIFICATIONS!!!!!!!!!!

i believe that people shouldnt be treated differently or discriminated against based on self expression, especially in the work place.

how about this one? a relative of mine is the supervisor of a medical team at a hospital. She has just openly admitted that she turned down an EXCELLENT and VERY qualified candidate due to her body modifications. They were small dermal piercings, as well as stretched lobes. She also admitted openly and proudly that she targets and waits to fire anyone who adds modifications after already being on her workforce, regardless of the amount of work they do or the quality.

note: I am employed with body modifications.
