"Cannabis Prohibition Now Seventy-Five Years Old" By Allen St. Pierre, NORML Executive Director, August 3, 2012
Infamously, America’s federally created Cannabis Prohibition marks its seventy-fifth anniversary this August 2, 2012. The so-called ‘great failed social experiment’ of Alcohol Prohibition of the 1920s barely lasted a dozen years in effect. Rightly, it took a constitutional amendment to both ban and restore alcohol products to the free market.”

And alcohol kills people every day. Instead of jailing people for a relatively harmless drug, legalize it and let America make a profit on it instead of drug cartels. Free the prisons up for real criminals.

It’s time for a constitutional amendment for cannabis products.

I do not smoke marijuana but I see this as a way to cut costs on convictions of users and how it could help the national debt

With all the money spent on finding, convicting and jailing marijuana users, if it was made legal, we could probably pay off much of our national debt. With the taxes the government could charge, we could pay off the rest of it.
