Victory

Rebecca Roberts: PROP Petition was denied in most part, the only item on the Docket that was accepted was the removal of moderate pain from long term Opioid labeling..Now they have asked, the FDA, that testing be done on these drugs to assure their safety for use. The battle will always continue for us that suffer from Chronic Pain!

This petition is for all of us who suffer from chronic pain ! and our right to stand our ground and Have a voice in this matter! By petitioning the FDA to save our rights to relief from the suffering and pain we experience day in and day out. Chronic pain sufferers have a voice that needs to be heard. We as chronic pain sufferers out-number these that are trying to limit our access to opioid medications. The more signatures we receive on this petition the louder our voice will be. If the FDA accepts the changes asked for by PROP it will limit our rights to receive the opioid medications we have to take to have some sort of quality of life. For chronic pain patients opioids allow us to get dressed in the morning, get out of bed, and do some activities we had prior to our onset of pain and the life changing experiences we have faced due to our chronic pain. Please not only take a few moments to sign this petition so the FDA can hear our unified voices loud and clear, but please join in our fight by sharing this petition. Together we can stop this. Together we have a voice! Together we will save lives!

PS. Criminals will ALWAYS find a way to get their drugs. Think about it! Alcohol probation did not stop alcoholics, did it? Making weed illegal did not stop druggies from obtaining it. Let us responsible patients alone to make this decision with our doctors.

I have Cystic Fibrosis and I live everyday with chronic disabling pain. I pray that my medications that allow me to live somewhat of a normal life are not taken away from me. I am a very responsible patient, always locking up my meds, and taking them as prescribed. PROP is discriminating against me and other patients like me. Is this not a free country anymore? Leave our trained physicians and nurse practitioners to decide what a patients needs are; not the government. This is ridiculous!

My name is Kristen and I'm on SSD, I have Mixed connective tissue disease, Fibromyalgia and Hashimotoes along with other issues because of these diseases. I have been on morphine and Norco for 11yrs. I have wheaned down to the lowest dose I can, but be able to have some quality to my life. I have been very responsible with my opioid medications I never take more then prescribed and I see my Drs. On a regular basis. PLEASE don't make this hard on us chronic pain patients, life is difficult enough. There has to be a better way to fight opioid drug abuse without punishing those whome really need it.

I have trouble filling my pain medication prescription every month, I am, lied to by pharmacists telling me they don;t have it in stock but the very next morning when they open and the head pharmacist is there amazingly they have it. This is after I have driven around for days sometimes trying to fill a legitimate script for medication that makes my life bearable and makes me able to function enough to use the bathroom by myself. Without these meds I can do nothing but lay in bed in misery.

I don't like being labeled as an addict when statistically, those with chronic pain conditions take the same dose day to day, year to year with no requests for an increase. Stop discriminating against us and allow us to continue to be pain free and productive citizens.
