Please grant a full pardon for the Scott Sisters

Gov. Phil Bryant

Please grant a full pardon for the Scott Sisters

    1. Petition by

ACTION COMMITTEE FOR WOMEN IN PRISON

Dear supporters,

REAL JUSTICE FOR THE SCOTT SISTERS We celebrate the release of Jamie and Gladys Scott from prison but it is not enough. They have been released on lifetime parole and are required t make payments to the State of Mississippi each month. They have already served 15 years in prison for an $11.00 robbery that they did not commit. This a parody of justice and we demand something better for Jamie and Gladys. Join us in asking Governor Hailey Barbour to grant a complete pardon to the Scott sisters. Join us in asking for real justice.

I support this. In the event that it is truly only 11.00 that they have taken. 11 days would of been enough for that..

This is important to me because the Scott Sisters were proven innocent and deserve to live a fully free human beings. People on parole are exposed to dehumanizing treatment and are easy targets for (racist) police. I imagine these two women are needed by many in their lives. Also, I care about the integrity of the criminal justice system.

This is important to me because one they are innocent and two $11....are you kidding me. Another crime of simply being black.

This is a rediculous penalty for these young women. Let them go free of all ties to this case.
