Make PEPCO play fair and be prepared

PEPCO is the power company that serves much of Maryland and the District of Columbia. The company has neglected its infrastructure and cut down on its maintenance staff for decades, and that has left the company's electrical infrastructure vulnerable to the increasingly bad storms in the Mid-Atlantic region. Power outages routinely go on for days at a time, and sometimes longer. And yet PEPCO can make up any revenue losses by raising rates over the rest of the year. This company needs to play fair and be prepared.

Pepco Holdings chairman, CEO, and president Joseph Rigby earned $7.16 million in total compensation last year, a 102 percent increase. ANY QUESTIONS???

It's rediculous to think that Pepco wants to make up their losses by raising their customers bills. We were without power for 4 days. All the CEO's and their outlandish salaries ($150,000.00 +) should also be fired. Also, any Maryland politicians endorsing this rate hike should be removed from Office.

I feel that Pepco's performance has been arrogantly and dismally unacceptable for the past 25 years. Why are they do handsomely rewarded financially? They should be terminated and run out of town... Or incarcerated for fraud.

Because corporate officers shouldn't make big money while reducing staff & providing obviously shoddy service.

We threw out hundreds of dollars of food that rotted. Our electricity is lost on a regular basis and with the weather as bad as it has' been, it added insult to injury. AND, just this morning, I heard that PEPCO is applying for a rate increase? What? I am Happily signing this petition.
