Charlie and Megan have built an amazing house from natural materials that really belongs in its landscape. You can see it here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2382684/Charlie-Hague-Megan-Williams-told-pull-hobbit-home-entirely-natural-materials.html Big building companies get away with inappropriate developments time after time because they know how to game the system, have the contacts to manipulate coucils and the financial muscle to bully them. Real people can build something truly inspiring and the authorities bully them in turn. We should have more sustainable natural houses like the one Megan and Charlie built and rather fewer of the soulless housing developments that councils approve all the time.

This young family are trying to be self-sufficient and t5heir efforts are stopped by a ridiculous ruling which should be overruled in this case.

Because the right to build what you want on your own rural land should be a basic right.

I know Pembrokeshire having lived there some time ago , ultimately leaving because of lack of opportunity. These young people are amazing example , they want to stay in their community, and importantly make a contribution and bring up their family. They are innovative and have made use of reclaimed materials to make a family home, because they don't want to get into debt. They are treading' lightly ' on the landscape , building something similar to what our ancestors would have built . Give the couple and their baby a chance to remain where they belong, and not have to move away because they cannot afford to live where they belong.

These 2 young people are doing something admirable by living in a more self-sufficient way. Sometimes with youthful enthusiasm comes a lack of attention to the bureaucratic model. Why must they destroy what they have sweated over innumerable hours put tremendous love into? Give them a break on this. Allow them to keep their lovely home. Be magnanimous instead of rigid and petty. They've worked so hard for their home. They deserve to keep it. Would you rather have them living on the dole?
