Representative Cox has reserved the number 1776,the draft is complete, and the legal eagles have to make sure the verbiage is correct. Because the bill rewrites much of the tax code,it takes time but is moving as quickly as possible. He invites any Representatives to look over the draft and make any suggestions that may be helpful.

if one senior loses the home they worked all their life to pay for because they can't afford property tax, then the tax needs to go.

I agree that the burdon of paying for public schools should be distributed to everyone, not just home owners.

Why isnt every home owner in Pa putting pressure on our elected officials. They need to know. The extortion needs to end! You only hear about it when they want elected or reelected. They need to know if property taxes are not abolished before they complete the term they dont get reelected. Enough is enough! Im a single father, I'm sick of politicians and school officials saying they have difficult decisions to make. SO do I!! Food, shelter, heat. This is the best start toward helping middle class people. They keep taking about helping us. The cost of education should be for all residents in the state except senior citizens and those with true special needs. The plan by the gov that school boards not be allowed to raise taxes w/o voter approval is weak and not good enough!! Notice the catch is beyond the rate of inflation meaning they can still raise them. All but those listed above should pay and voter approval is needed before any raise. Imagine how those who founded our country would react. They didnt put up with it. Right now our government is doing far worse than what they stood up to during the revolution.
