Stand with Occupy Wall Street

    1. Sponsored by

      CREDO Action

Not a single banker has gone to jail for crimes that led to the financial meltdown. But now over 1,000 protesters have been arrested in the inspiring Occupy Wall Street protest in New York City.

Tell Mayor Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Kelly: Respect the Occupy Wall Street protesters' constitutional right to peaceful assembly.

The occupation of Wall Street has inspired a nationwide movement in the spirit of Wisconsin.

But there has been a powerful backlash against peaceful protesters who are using both their right to public assembly and tactics of nonviolent civil disobedience to call attention to the fact that our government has bailed out the wealthiest Americans but has done little to help middle and working class Americans who have lost their jobs and had their homes foreclosed on.

The very existence of Occupy Wall Street could be endangered by strongarm NYPD tactics aimed at intimidating protesters and ending their stand against the big Wall Street banks.

Tell Mayor Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Kelly: Respect the Occupy Wall Street protesters' constitutional right to peaceful assembly.

To:
Michael Bloomberg, NYC Mayor
Raymond Kelly, Police Commissioner
Not a single banker has gone to jail and yet over 1,000 protesters have been arrested. I stand with the protesters of Occupy Wall Street, and I demand that the NYPD respect their constitutional right to peaceful assembly.

Sincerely,

Sincerely,

      If you can't be there, hear is some ideas to show support;

If you have a PC, email and can record video from your screen do so from the live video feeds provided below if you see something worth it to do this and you can email it to them. They cant take that footage in this way. There are many free programs online to do this and most PC's have it built in now days.

I made a sign specially to have a sign for use on my own property out front in the same way as an election sign would be posted. They do accept donations to this cause online. The image is transparent so you can print it on whatever you like. I used 2 coat hangers cut & bent and a clear folder taped shut. Be creative - Show some love and support.

Peaceful protest is the way things get done in America - seeing images reminiscent of the 1960's civil rights movements on our television screens does not make you look good - too bad there can't be a recall election right now .. but you need to think of your re-election chances if the will of the people isn't enough to sway you on its own.

It's a classic case of "kill the messenger" because the message is disturbing. Bloomberg and all the others are just dancing to the tune the big boys are playing.

America: The land of the free, as long as you can afford it. It's pathetic.
