No bias on wind

    1. Petition by

      Lincolnshire Pro Wind Alliance

We believe that onshore wind is a key component in the future of energy generation in the UK and deserves to be handled responsibly by our Councillors. We expect all onshore wind planning applications to be subject to thorough balanced appraisal before any decision is taken on deployment.

To:
Councillor Martin Hill, Leader, Lincolnshire County Council
Councillor Colin Davie, Environmental scrutiny, Lincolnshire County Council
We ask you to make decisions based on the facts rather than on prejudice, remain impartial on all planning matters and refrain from using public funds to promote a negative view of onshore wind.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

The UK needs to be energy secure at the earliest opportunity. Wind farms , whether on or ofshore , have a vital part to play in making the UK energy secure. Therefore, we must stop being shotsighted and look at the long term benefits of wind farms. We may not like onshore wind farms but they are a neccessity and in the future they can always be dismantled once there are better ways to ensure that the UK is energy secure.
