Put in a crosswalk where the towpath crosses Bridge St. in Lambertville

Please show your support to have a crosswalk put in where the tow path crosses Bridge Street in Lambertville! All the other river towns that the towpath intersect has a crosswalk and 'yield to pedestrians' sign; Lambertville does not. This is dangerous for both the assuming pedestrian/biker as it is for the unaware motorist. Lambertville is a tourist and sight-seeing destination and this is a long overdue safety precaution. The town lobbied for this in the past, but was told no by the NJDOT. Please sign the petition to show support to make installing a crosswalk here happen!

The towpath is one of this town's greatest treasures. We should make sure that all (families with small children, people walking their dogs, teenagers, bicyclists, etc.) can use it without fearing for their safety. Thanks!
