Cancel Michael Vick's Endorsement deal

Nike dropped endorsement deals for Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong-- both of which have never been convicted of actual crimes. However, Michael Vick is a convicted felon, yet he still retains an endorsement deal with Nike. We ask that Nike reconsider this decision, one which elevates an animal abuser in our society into that of a role model. If Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong are no longer considered proper role models, why is Michael Vick?

Vick has not apologized for the actual murders of the dogs he killed, nor has he shown any remorse for those murders. He's only sorry he got caught. Help us petition Nike to reconsider their deal with Vick.

Apparently Michael Vick thinks Roger Goodell is doing a "great job." Considering that most actions are taken AFTER an event, nothing is proactive, then how can he be doing a "great job."

Sponsors have pulled their support from those who were recently charged w/ domestic violence/abuse. Nike pulled their support from Adrian Peterson. Why keep Vick's sponsorship intact- he's a convicted felon?

Jets' Vick says Goodell doing 'great job'

BY DENNIS WASZAK JR. AP SPORTS WRITER FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- Michael Vick fully supports the man who gave him a second chance in the NFL. The New York Jets quarterback defended NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell while the league and its teams have come under heavy criticism during the past two weeks over how they are dealing with several players facing domestic violence allegations.

Vick is in the news again, calling himself a "premier" quarterback. Really? He's still pompous ans self-absorbed.

Michael Vick says he's still a 'premier quarterback,' willing to be a backup

NFL Michael Vick said he feels he is still a "premier quarterback" at New York Jets player check-ins Wednesday, according to ESPN NFL Nation's Rich Cmini. Vick also said he is willing to accept a backup role. Second-year QB Geno Smith is the Jets' starter heading into training camp, but Vick could push him.

I want to thank everyone for signing the Nike petition! In less than 48 hrs, we've hit over 500 signatures! Don't forget to forward the petition to everyone who cares about animals- rescuers, adopters, shelter workers, family, friends-- and anyone else who would like to see a standard followed by Nike. If releasing Woods & Armstrong from their endorsement deals for personal behavior that did not lead to criminal charges, why not keep the same standard? Let's help our children by showing them who proper role models are- by standing up for those who cannot speak for themselves!

After Mr Vick was convicted of cruelty to animals he doesn't deserve the Nike endorsement! As long as Nike stands behind him, I will not purchase your brand.

His abusive treatment of animals offends me. Until he is gone I will not support Nike with my money. I will go to other brands even if they are more expensive!!

I have not spent a dime on NIKE nor will I until he is no longer sponsored by Nike. Many of my friends and family are with me on this. And if they don't know, I tell them!

Michael Vick is a murderer. He

Has done far worse than Tiger Woods. The NFL and Nike Should stop rewarding thugs.
